Writing my next children’s books

We’re currently editing our newest book with our amazing editor, Brooke.  It’s the sequel to SantaToot.  My son came up with the idea — it’s the story of Santa giving up coming into houses from chimneys and entering from a different part of the house.  

The next book my favorite story idea yet — it combines my childhood, 80s nostalgia, and body hair.  It’s called MANPUNZEL.

Once Manpunzel is released, I’ll have four books out.  Books 5, 6, 7, and 8 are written.  I’m working on book 9!  So much more fun to come.

Content Binges

My preferred way to study film and storytelling is to pick a single filmmaker and watch everything they’ve ever made.  Currently binging Shakespeare plays and the accompanying movies.  Special focus on Orson Welles and Kurosawa.  

ALSO, Rajamouli.  He’s the best in the world right now.  RRR is the best movie I’ve seen in the last 25 years.  I can’t watch any other movies.
